DALLAS DAMES COOK UP FUNDRAISER TO HELP WOMEN

Women’s Culinary Group Provides Scholarships to Fund Culinary Education

 

DALLAS – Les Dames d’Escoffier International’s Dallas chapter will host its annual Raiser Grazer Sunday, March 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Union Station in Dallas.  The event, themed Dames Go Local, raises money for educational scholarships for area women seeking careers in the culinary arts.  The event is open to the public and tickets are available for $65 per person. This year’s event will showcase the many local purveyors of fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese and other artisanal dairy products.


Raiser Grazer brings together talented chefs, suppliers, pastry artists and business women for an evening of exceptional food and beverages, outstanding auction items and a lively, family-friendly environment.  The event will feature more than 25 chef-hosted kiosks serving everything from local beef to desserts made with local dairy products; local and international wines, and an outdoor beer garden featuring only local brews. There is also almost 100 items and experiences up for grabs in the silent auction. The silent auction is now live at biddingforgood.com. About Les Dames d’Escoffier’s Scholarship Fund

For more than 25 years, LDEI’s mission has been to provide support to women through educational programs, mentoring and scholarships.  Our efforts have raised more than $1.2 million and we have

directed those funds to five colleges and universities in Texas.  Locally, LDEI has endowed a scholarship at El Centro; funded Days of Taste, a nutrition education program for DISD students held at the Farmer’s Market and the Family Gateway Culinary Training Program in Dallas, among others.
